Dimakatso – I Don’t need no friend music video is now on our TV Screens.

A vocalist Dimakatso Chauke born 28 September1995, known affectionately by her fans as Dimakatso, is born and

raised in Tembisa and spent her early childhood years in the township of Phomolong. Growing up in a

warm  and supportive household, she began schooling in Phomolong Primary before progressing to

Phomolong Secondary; and this was when her love for music began.

Like most artists, Dimakatso began exploring her vocal capabilities and singing at church, before taking

her passion for singing seriously and working with well-known artists and producers in the music

industry. While growing and learning the skill of song writing, she was spotted by Shining Stars

Production record label owner Isaac Nonyane of whom, wasted no time in believing in her talent and

worked on her very first debut single ‘Thought I Was Over You’.

Produced by up and coming producer Isaac Nonyane and engineered by Musa Maseko, the single tells of

Dimakatso’s love story- failing to let go of a previous partner and refusing to accept that the relationship

is over.

Now living her dream of becoming a singer, having been inspired by singers such as Adele, DJ and

producer Black Coffee and many others, Dimakatso is finally ready to take her love for music to new

heights and showcase her talent to the world!
